One of our most recent pack exploration trips was to the Trinity Alps Bowerman Meadows. There were a series of meadows along the trial, with the last few being the largest. Pictured below is Lucky, one of our mustangs, tied out to graze in the meadow we camped at.
Here you can see a small steam winding down the mountain from the lakes up behind the ridge.
In the picture above you can see Jensine sitting on a boulder in the actual Bowerman Meadow. The picture does not come close to showing the full beauty of the meadow.
Jensine is standing on a boulder just above the small stream which winds through the meadow in the background.
From camp, Mike and Jensine hiked up the hill to see more of the area and try to get to the lakes. In the picture you see Mike looking at the amazing mountain range surrounding the meadow they just hiked through. The photo below gives a glimpse of the mountains.
Above is a picture of our dinner. Mike, creatively put shish-kabob sticks through a couple steaks and rested the kabob sticks ends on pieces of wood over the fire. The steaks cooked excellently and were very juicy.
Above is Jensine, who is patiently waiting for dinner to be ready. Below, Mike is flipping a potato, onion and bacon side dish.
Above is a quick close up to help get the saliva glands going.
